Facebook !! it's time they had a worthy rival !!

Yes I use Facebook, I use it occasionally but I certainly do not have it on like many 24/7, I find it a good way to store my photos, chat to friends near & far & keep up to date with what is going on in my area.

However it bores me & although I am not hooked like many many people I know, I want a worthy rival to come along & give Facebook a run for their money. The likes of MySpace I find far too complicated, Bebo doesn't interest me, in other words I want something fresh & new to come & blow me away. Oh I wish i has the know how but trust me I would not know where to start & for sure I do not have the skills, equipment never minding the drive to do that, so i leave that to those 'whizzkids' out there to get me excited.

For sure there is a lot of fakery going on within many of the profiles on Facebook, I don't know if it is true but I did read that there is more individual profiles on the social network than they're people on this planet, so my point being if I want to chat with someone in the next town or on the other side of the world with the same interests as me, I would like them to be who they say they are? therefore a social networking site that everyone would have to somehow confirm they are who they say they are....I know nothing is perfect but on a lot of profiles you can if your that way inclined or that up on your indentity theft easily assume someones idententy ie date of birth, place of birth etc.- I find that quite disturbing amongst other things.

I suppose I am asking too much but I will wait & see.
